Carillion Irishenco Ltd has been building in Ireland since Irishenco was founded in 1940.  In 1996, Tarmac and Wimpey, two of the most famous names in international contracting merged their construction businesses.  Today this combined business is known as Carillion plc.  In February 2006 Carillion acquired Mowlem plc making us a leading construction to services company with annual sales of around US$7billion and over 40,000 employees worldwide.

Carillion Irishenco is proud of the major and long standing contribution to the built environment in Ireland that we are making and we are an integral part of the fabric of the business community.

For example Carillion Irishenco, have constructed five of the bridges that span the River Liffey at Dublin (East Link Toll Bridge, Sean O’Casey Pedestrian Bridge, James Joyce Road Bridge, Frank Sherwin Bridge at Knightsbridge and the first carriageway of the West Link Toll Bridge(JV)) and we have refurbished a sixth; Halfpenny Pedestrian Bridge.

Irishenco have in their own right successfully completed projects overseas in locations such as Nigeria, Zambia, The Gambia, St Helena – South Atlantic, Diego Garcia – Indian Ocean, Abu Dhabi, Northern Ireland and the United Kingdom.
